INVITATION TO BIDDERS

The Town of St. Michaels has acquired a new office building located on 201 Boundary Lane in St. Michaels, MD. The existing geothermal system is failing and needs to be replaced immediately. The system includes a geothermal well, all-in one air handler condenser, indoor condenser unit and air handler. The all-in-one unit and indoor condenser unit are located in a mechanical storage closet on the first floor. The second air handler is located in the attic. The building has zone control for the individual rooms and has several thermostats. The Town is requesting bids to replace the geothermal system with two heat pump HVAC split systems. Attached is the scope of work and bid sheet. There are several alternate pricing options that the Town would like to review which are listed in the alternate section.

Submission Date:

Sealed proposals are due on or before June 21, 2024, at 2:00 pm. The proposal may be hand delivered or mailed to the Town of St. Michaels, 201 Boundary Lane, PO Box 206, St. Michaels, Maryland 21663. Any proposals received after that time will not be accepted. Opening of proposals will commence on June 21, 2024 at 2:00pm in the St. Michaels Town Office, located at 201 Boundary Lane, St. Michaels, Maryland.

The submittal deadline, review and award of a contract is anticipated to be as follows:

  • Tour of the Building                                               – Available M-F 8:30am-4:30pm
  • Proposal Due Date at the Town Office            – June 21, 2024 2:00pm
  • Opening of Proposals                                            – June 21, 2024 2:00pm
  • Contract Approval                                                  – Week of June 24, 2024
  • Commencement of Contract                              – Week of June 24, 2024
  • Earliest Date to Commence Work                    – Week of June 24, 2024
