Police Department

Under the direction of the Commissioners and the Town Administrator, Chief Oswald and the staff of nine, address the public safety of town property, residents and visitors.

We practice community policing daily as we provide law enforcement services to the residents who call this community home. Operationally, we conduct ourselves based upon the six pillars of character: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, citizenship and caring. Our approach is to develop community partnerships as we address safety and security concerns.

The quality of life for our residents and visitors is a primary concern of the Town and all its employees. Whether you are a resident or visitor, we strive to provide the highest quality law enforcement services with integrity and pride.

At all times the St. Michaels Police Department is charged with partnering with the community to solve problems. And, through this partnership, our goal is to make St. Michaels the safest place in America to live, work, and play.
